Hot Water Bag for Back Pain, Neck & Knee Pain
Short Description
A hot water bag for back pain that does not need a kettle. Charge it for 5–10 minutes, unplug it and settle it against the part that aches – lower back, neck, shoulder, knee or calf. The sealed gel holds a steady warmth for 60 to 120 minutes, long enough for a full session on the sofa or in your office chair, and the auto cut-off switches the heater off once it is hot.

Heat for everyday aches
Most everyday aches are muscle aches: a back that has sat too long, shoulders that have carried a bag, legs after a long walk, knees that feel stiff on a winter morning. Warmth brings more blood to the area and helps the muscle let go, so the ache feels softer and you move more easily.
Heat gives temporary relief and comfort. It is not a treatment for an injury, a slipped disc or arthritis – for pain that lasts more than a few days, see a doctor or physiotherapist.

How to place it for each area
Keep each session to about 15–20 minutes and always keep a layer of cloth between the bag and your skin.
Who uses it
- Office workers and students who sit for long hours and end the day with a tight lower back.
- Parents and grandparents with stiff knees and shoulders on cold mornings.
- Drivers, delivery riders and anyone who spends the day on the road.
- Gym-goers and walkers with sore legs the day after a workout.
- Homemakers on their feet all day in the kitchen.
Hot vs cold: when to use which
| Situation | Use |
|---|---|
| A fresh sprain, twist, bump or swelling (first 1–2 days) | Cold (ice pack) – not this bag |
| Stiff or tight muscles, a back that has sat too long | Heat |
| Stiff knees or shoulders on a cold morning | Heat |
| Sore legs a day after exercise | Heat |
| Red, hot, swollen joint, or pain with fever | Neither – see a doctor |

Safety for elders and people with diabetes
Older people and people with diabetes often feel heat less on their skin, so a bag can be too hot before they notice. If you are buying this for a parent, please go through these points with them:
- Always use it over clothes or a folded towel, never on bare skin.
- Keep sessions short – 15 minutes – and look at the skin afterwards. Redness that does not fade means it was too long.
- Do not use it on feet or legs with numbness, poor circulation or diabetic foot problems unless a doctor says it is fine.
- Never fall asleep with it on, and never use it while it is plugged in.
- Do not use it on a fresh injury, broken skin or a swollen joint.

Hot Water Bag for Back Pain – frequently asked questions
Is a hot water bag good for back pain?
For the common stiff, tired back from sitting or standing too long, warmth relaxes the muscles and many people find it eases the ache. It gives temporary relief, not a cure. See a doctor for pain after a fall, pain going down the leg, or pain that lasts.
Can I use it for shoulder pain and a stiff neck?
Yes. Lay it over the shoulder or across the back of the neck while you sit back or lie down, over a thin cloth, for about 15–20 minutes.
Can I use it for knee and leg pain?
Yes, for stiffness and tired muscles. Do not use heat on a knee that is red, hot and swollen, or on a fresh twist – use cold for that and ask a doctor.
Is it safe for elderly people?
Yes, if used carefully: over clothes, in short sessions, never while asleep and never while charging. People with diabetes or numbness should ask their doctor first.
What are the side effects of a hot water bag?
Used too long or on bare skin, heat can redden or burn the skin. Keep a layer in between, limit each session and check the skin afterwards.
What is the price?
₹699 including GST (MRP ₹1,019, 31% off) with free delivery across India and a GST invoice.
