What is a 20 inch impulse sealer?
This is the chakki and rice-mill size. A 5 kg atta bag of 16 × 24 inch and a 10 kg rice bag of 18 × 28 inch both have mouths that only a 500 mm bar can cross in one stroke. The Standard 20 inch, with a 600 W element and a 4.8 kg body, suits a mill counter or repacker sealing a few hundred bags a day.
Besides atta and rice, it closes family-size sugar and dal bags, PE inner liners for cattle and poultry feed before the outer sack is stitched, and PP bags of seed and fertilizer for agro dealers. Laundry and blanket shops also use it on wide covers. The limit is a mouth of about 19.5 inch.

What is in the box

Which bags and pouches fit the 20 inch sealer?
Bag mouth laid flat: 490 mm (19.5 inch) or less closes on the 20 inch bar in one press.

Who buys the 20 inch model
- Atta chakkis and flour mills – 5 kg and 10 kg atta bags.
- Rice mills and rice traders – 5 kg to 10 kg retail rice bags.
- Sugar, dal and grocery repackers packing family-size bags.
- Cattle-feed and poultry-feed units sealing PE liners.
- Seed and fertilizer dealers packing agro-inputs.
- Laundry, linen and blanket shops sealing wide covers.
Atta and rice bags at 20 inch
- Fill and settle a 10 kg bag on the floor or a low stool, then lift only its mouth to the bar.
- Flour dust on the inner lip causes most weak seals at a chakki, so wipe the top inch clean first.
- Pull the mouth taut from both sides so the film lies without wrinkles along the full 500 mm.
- Thick PP rice bags need a higher dial number than thin LDPE atta bags; reset the timer whenever you switch between them.
Bar care on the 20 inch
Flour, bran and feed dust are the main enemies of a 500 mm bar. Brush the Teflon strip at every break and look along its full length for burnt spots, since one bad patch weakens the whole seal. Thin LDPE atta bags need a lower dial number than thick PP rice bags or feed liners, so mark both positions on the machine body. Keep the arm down for a moment after the pulse so the long seal sets before the heavy bag is moved. If the middle of the seal stays weak after a fresh strip goes on, the element needs replacing from the spares.

Shorter bar, longer bar or Heavy Duty
If your largest bag is a 2 kg grocery pack, the 16 inch does the job with less weight. If grain liners reach 22 to 23 inch, take the 24 inch. Woven 25 to 50 kg sacks fall outside impulse sealing altogether. A small chakki packing only in the morning is well served by this Standard model; a mill sealing on every shift should choose the Heavy Duty 20 inch.
20 inch impulse sealer price in India
Standard 20 inch: ₹2,999 + 18% GST (MRP ₹3,899, 23% off). Heavy Duty 20 inch: ₹3,999. 5 pieces in the cart: ₹2,699 each.

Bought the 20 inch impulse sealer?
20 inch impulse sealer – frequently asked questions
Can it seal stitched woven sacks?
No. Woven PP sacks for 25 to 50 kg are stitched with a sack closer or closed with a band sealer. The 20 inch is for the PE or PP liner inside them, or for retail bags of up to 10 kg.
Will atta leak through the seal in transit?
A full-width seal made on a clean mouth keeps flour in. Leaks usually trace back to powder trapped in the seal line, or to a seal that was not held down long enough to cool.
Can I also seal small pouches on it?
You can, but a 4.8 kg machine with a 500 mm bar is more than a 4 × 6 inch pouch needs. A shop doing mainly small packs is better off keeping an 8 inch beside it.
Where should the machine sit at a chakki?
Away from the flour outlet, on a firm table at about waist height, so heavy bags reach the bar without straining anyone's back. Keep the power cord off the floor where bags get dragged.
Can it seal a bag filled right to the brim?
Leave at least two to three inches of empty bag above the atta or rice. The mouth must lie flat across the 500 mm bar; an overfilled bag pulls the film and gives a weak or crooked seal.
Is the 20 inch suitable for laundry and blanket covers?
Yes, for covers whose mouth is under 19.5 inch. Laundries close cleaned linen in LDPE covers on it; blankets packed in wider covers need the 24 inch instead.
