What is a drum carrier and lifter?

A grab at the front locks onto the drum and is set for the rim style you use. Pumping the handle drives a hydraulic ram that raises the grab and the drum together, with no power supply involved. A release valve lowers it under control. The drum stays vertical the whole time, riding on the carrier's wheels, so nobody rolls it on its edge. The carrier itself weighs about 55 to 70 kg.

It suits chemical, paint, oil, lubricant and food units that move drums and also need to raise them a short way, for weighing, filling or setting on a pallet. Say whether your drums are steel or plastic when ordering so the grab matches. It does not tilt for pouring; that needs the DS0.35 stacker and tilter. For moving full steel drums without lifting, the DT0.5 is simpler.

Placing a drum on a stand with the lifter – 4 steps

   Pump it upWork the handle until the drum clears the floor, or higher to match the pallet, scale or stand.

   Wheel it overMove slowly with the drum upright, keeping its weight within 350 kg and the route away from slopes.

   Lower into placePosition the drum over the stand, open the valve to let it settle, then release the grab.
