AMC Plans for Packaging and Sealing Machines

PackForge offers three shapes of packaging machine AMC plans: preventive visits, parts-included cover, and remote support with a spares kit. Compare them here, see which suits each of your machines, and then ask us to write the terms.

  • Written per machine and shift
  • Visit plans: Delhi NCR only
  • No fixed bundles
  • Exclusions listed on the contract
Quick answer: Packaging machine AMC plans from PackForge come in three shapes. A preventive plan pays for scheduled visits and checks, with parts billed as used. A parts-included plan adds a written list of wear parts. Sites outside Delhi NCR get remote support plus a spares kit. Every contract is drawn up per machine and shift, and quoted per machine.

Three plan shapes, one starting question

Before any plan, we ask one thing: what does an hour of downtime on this machine cost you? The answer decides the shape of cover, not the other way round.

  • Preventive visit plan. Our engineer comes on a fixed schedule, checks and adjusts the machine, and replaces parts that are close to worn. Labour is in the plan; parts are invoiced as they are fitted.
  • Parts-included plan. The same visits, plus a named list of wear parts that are replaced at no extra charge. The list is written into the contract, so there is no argument later.
  • Remote support with a spares kit. For plants beyond Delhi NCR. You keep a small kit on your own shelf, and we guide your fitter by phone, WhatsApp or video.

Matching a plan to your situation

These are the cases we meet most often when a plant asks about cover.

A line that cannot stop

If a stopped strapper or sealer holds up dispatch for the whole floor, the parts-included plan usually pays for itself. Planned visits catch worn parts before they fail mid-shift.

Light, single-shift use

A machine running a few hours a day wears slowly. A preventive plan with fewer visits, or no plan at all with a small spares stock, is often enough.

Plant outside Delhi NCR

We have no engineers or offices in other cities, so visit plans do not apply. Remote support with a kit sized to your run rate is the honest option.

A mixed fleet

Strappers, sealers, wrappers and pallet trucks can sit in one contract, but each line is written separately, because each machine wears at its own pace.

An older machine

We first check the machine is worth covering. If repair costs are climbing, we say so before you sign rather than after the first visit.

No plan needed

Some machines simply do not justify a contract. A hand sealer or a lightly used pallet truck is better served by a spare element or wheel on the shelf.

Visit frequency by shift pattern

Use this only as a starting point for discussion. The actual number of visits is fixed for each machine in its contract.

How the machine runsUsual starting pointWhat can change it
Occasional use, under one shiftOne or two visits a year, or no AMCDusty floor, heavy cartons
One full shiftA visit every quarterSeasonal peaks in output
Two shiftsA visit every two monthsMixed strap, tape or film grades
Three shifts or round the clockA monthly visitSeveral operators per machine

What a visit looks at, by machine family

Each contract names the checks for its machines. These are the usual points on PackForge models.

  • Strapping machines: heater blade condition, cutter edge, gripper, feed and reverse rollers, arch guides and strap tension against your strap grade. See strapping machine spares.
  • Carton sealers: tape head blades and rollers, side drive belts, width guides and a test run on your own cartons. Details on the carton sealer service page.
  • Stretch and box wrappers: turntable belt and bearings, film carriage rollers, pre-stretch gears and the film clamp.
  • Band, impulse and shrink sealers: element wire, PTFE tape, silicone pad, temperature control and the timer board.
  • Pallet trucks and drum handlers: wheels, load rollers, hydraulic seals, the pump handle and release lever. Parts are on the pallet truck spares page.
  • Every machine: wiring, switches, earthing, guards and a note of the settings that worked, kept for the next visit.

Wrappers and other floor machines

A turntable stretch wrapper often sits at the end of the line, so when it stops, finished pallets pile up. Its wear comes from the turntable drive, the film carriage and the pre-stretch rollers, and from film that is the wrong gauge for the setting.

On a wrapper contract, the engineer checks rotation speed, film tension and the top press if your model has one. Parts for these machines are listed on our wrapping machine spares page, and the full range is on turntable stretch wrappers.

Tell us which film you buy. A plan works far better when the consumable is known from day one.

What no plan covers

Every PackForge contract prints its exclusions in plain words, on the contract itself. Expect these in all three plan shapes:

  • Consumables you use up, such as strap, tape, stretch film and sealing film.
  • Damage from power faults, such as voltage spikes or a wrong phase connection.
  • Misuse, for example running a machine past its rated load or carton size.
  • Changes made without us, including another supplier's parts fitted against our advice.

Manufacturing defects inside the warranty period are a separate matter and are handled under the PackForge warranty, whether or not you hold an AMC.

From comparison to signed contract

Choosing a plan takes a short conversation, not a sales visit.

  1. List your machines

Send models, serial plate photos, shifts per day and your PIN code.

  2. Get our view

We suggest a plan shape for each machine, or tell you that a machine does not need one.

  3. Read the draft

The draft states visits, included parts, breakdown terms and exclusions for every machine.

  4. Start the plan

Sign, agree the first visit date and keep the contract with the machine records. Book through Book an AMC.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between comprehensive and non comprehensive AMC?

In our terms, the parts-included plan is the comprehensive one: listed wear parts are replaced within the contract. The preventive visit plan is non comprehensive: visits and labour are covered, and parts are billed when fitted.

Why are there no AMC prices on this page?

Because no two contracts are the same. The price depends on the machine, how many shifts it runs, the number of visits and which parts are included. We quote per machine once we have those details.

Can I get a visit-based AMC outside Delhi NCR?

No. Our engineers travel only within Delhi NCR. Elsewhere in India and in African markets, we offer remote support by phone, WhatsApp and video with a spares kit kept at your site.

Will you tell me if my machine does not need an AMC?

Yes. A lightly used sealer or pallet truck is often better served by a few spare parts on the shelf. We would rather say that plainly than sell cover you will not use.

Can one contract cover machines of different types?

Yes. A single contract can list strappers, carton sealers, wrappers and handling equipment together. Each machine still gets its own line with its own visits, parts and terms.

Does an AMC replace the warranty?

No. The warranty covers manufacturing defects for at least 12 months from invoice. An AMC covers planned upkeep and agreed breakdown help. Both can run side by side on the same machine.

Can I change plans when the contract is renewed?

Yes. At renewal we look at how the machine ran during the year. If output rose or fell, the plan shape and visit count can be changed for the next term.

Not sure which plan fits?

Send your machine list with shifts and PIN code on WhatsApp, and we will suggest a plan shape for each machine.
