Short Description
The 300 mm hand impulse sealer most Indian packing benches start with. It closes 10 × 12 inch pouches, 500 g namkeen and chips packs and garment covers up to 11.5 inch wide with a clean 2 mm seal. What is a 12 inch impulse sealer?
If a buyer cannot decide on a size, the 12 inch is where we usually point them. Its 300 mm bar covers the widest spread of everyday Indian packs, from 500 g namkeen pouches to shirt covers, and at 2.6 kg it is still a light bench machine. The Standard version is meant for shops and small units sealing a few hundred packs a day.
The most common job is a 10 × 12 inch pouch of chips, mixture or bhujia. Boutiques lay 11 × 14 inch LDPE garment covers flat across it, kirana wholesalers close 1 kg dal and sugar bags of 10 × 14 inch, and 9 × 12 inch bakery bags fit with room to spare. The widest mouth it accepts is about 11.5 inch.

Namkeen and garment packs on 12 inch
- For plain PE namkeen pouches of 10 × 12 inch, start on dial 4 or 5 with this bar.
- Shake bhujia and mixture down so that no oily crumbs sit in the top inch where the seal forms.
- Lay garment covers flat and smooth the folds at the mouth; a crease running across the bar turns into a leak.
- Keep metallised chips film away from this machine, since that film needs a hot bar sealer and not a short pulse.
Care and settings on 12 inch
Because the 12 inch handles so many kinds of bags, its dial gets changed more often than on a sealer kept for one job. Write the right number for each pack type on a piece of tape beside the machine: lower for thin namkeen PE, middle for 1 kg grocery bags, higher for thick garment covers. Wipe the Teflon strip whenever you switch from oily snacks to clothing, so no residue marks a cover. Fit the spare strip as soon as the surface looks brown or cracked. When a full 300 mm seal shows a weak patch that a fresh strip does not cure, replace the heating element.

Moving off the 12 inch
Go down to the 10 inch if your widest bag is a 9 × 12 inch bakery pouch and you want a smaller machine. Go up to the 16 inch once 12 × 16 inch courier mailers arrive, since their 305 mm mouth overshoots this bar; atta and rice sacks need the 20 inch. A two-person bench sealing through a full shift should pick the Heavy Duty 12 inch.

Can one 12 inch machine handle both 250 g and 1 kg packs?
Yes. Small pouches simply use part of the bar, while 1 kg packs in 10 × 14 inch bags use most of it. Adjust the timer when you switch, because film thickness often changes with the pack size.
Will a saree cover fit?
Folded sarees in LDPE covers seal well as long as the mouth is under 11.5 inch. Let a long cover rest on the table so its weight does not drag on the seal while it is still warm.
Is this a good first sealer for a small packing business?
For most new namkeen, spice or garment businesses it is a practical first machine, because it covers small and mid-size packs alike. If your plan already includes 5 kg grocery bags, begin with a 20 inch instead.
Which parts will need replacing over time?
The heating element and the Teflon tape are wear parts and are changed from time to time; two extra elements and one extra tape are packed in the box. The machine is covered by a 2-year warranty.
Will it seal a 1 kg rice bag of 10 × 14 inch?
Yes. A 10 inch mouth sits well inside the 300 mm bar. Stand the filled bag on the table, settle the grains away from the top, and use a slightly higher dial number than for namkeen pouches.
Can I make my own pouches from a PE roll on it?
Yes. Cut the length you need from PE tube or lay-flat roll, seal the bottom first, fill, then seal the top. Any roll width up to 11.5 inch works on this bar.
