What is machine-grade PP strap?

A strapping head pushes strap round its arch, pulls it back tight and melts the overlap. Each of those steps depends on the band keeping the same width and thickness along the whole roll. A strap that runs too narrow slips in the gripper, while one that runs too thick can jam the track. Thickness is about 0.5 to 1.0 mm, and breaking strength about 90 to 250 kg, depending on size.

Use it on semi automatic and fully automatic arch machines for cartons, bundles and corrugated boxes, such as the arch type machine. Rolls weigh about 8 to 10 kg, and colours include white, yellow, blue and black, with others to order. Store rolls indoors, away from sun and heat. Loads with sharp edges on every side need corner boards, or steel strap with the 19SST tool.

   Choose the widthPick 9, 12 or 15 mm to match the head, then a thickness between 0.5 and 1.0 mm for the load.

   Load and storeMount the 8 to 10 kg roll on the dispenser, and keep spare rolls dry, shaded and off the floor.
