What is a deluxe heavy duty strapping machine like the 740H?

The operator wraps strap round the pack and slips its end into the head. Grippers clamp it, the motor draws the loop to the tension you picked, and a heating element melts the overlapping layers so they fuse as they are pressed. A cutter trims the strap, and the head feeds out the next length from a reel with a 200 mm inner diameter. Power draw is 0.5 kW on 220 V single phase.

The wide table, 780 mm high, takes large cartons and flat bundles, which is why corrugated box plants, printing houses and warehouses use it. Low tension suits light boxes, while the top of the range firms up stiff stacks. At 110 kg it stays steady through heavy use. Shorter, lighter jobs fit the compact low table, and a busy conveyor line calls for an automatic machine.

   Fit the reelMount PP strap on a 200 mm core, 6 to 15 mm wide, and adjust the strap width setting to match.

   Choose tensionSet near 15 kg for light cartons and move towards 45 kg only for stiff bundles and sheet stacks.

   Wrap the bundleSquare the stack on the table, pass the strap round it and push the end into the head.

   Weld and repeatThe element seals and the cutter trims in about 1.5 seconds. Add a second strap if the bundle needs it.
