What is a fully automatic strapping machine with a touch HMI?

Cartons enter the arch from the infeed conveyor and stop in position. The head sends PP strap round the 800 x 600 mm arch, tightens it, seals the overlap and cuts, and the carton travels on. Output reaches about 1,500 straps per hour, close to 25 a minute. The touch HMI keeps a recipe for each pack, so nobody resets the head by hand at changeover. Power is 230 V at about 0.75 kW.

FMCG, pharma, e-commerce and corrugated box plants with a conveyor already running are the natural fit, including rented sheds without a three phase supply. The frame is about 1,400 x 630 x 1,500 mm and weighs 200 to 250 kg. Arches other than 800 x 600 mm can be ordered. For hand-fed batch work, look at the 101F offline machine instead.

Setting up the Touch HMI strapper – 4 steps

   Check the archMake sure your largest carton clears the 800 x 600 mm arch, and order a different arch size if it does not.

   Save recipesOn the touch screen, store one setting for each carton size you send down the line.

   Load the coilFit machine-grade PP strap and thread it into the head; the machine then runs it through the arch on its own.

   Run the lineSelect the recipe and start the conveyor. Cartons are strapped as they pass, up to about 1,500 straps an hour.
