Low Table Top Strapping Machines

A low table top strapping machine does the same job as the standard semi automatic model in a smaller, lower body. It is for the bench where floor space is short and the cartons are light: a courier counter, a pharmacy or cosmetics packing room, a garment unit strapping poly-wrapped bundles, a small e-commerce packer working out of a single room.

The low table height is not a cosmetic difference. When an operator is strapping small boxes for hours, a lower working surface means less lifting into the arch and less reaching over the table. For light cartons that is easier on the back and faster in practice.

It is also the machine that fits where nothing else will. The body is compact enough to sit at the end of an existing packing table rather than needing a bay of its own.

Choosing the right one

Match the machine to the heaviest carton you will actually put on it, not the lightest. A low table is a help with a two-kilo box and a hindrance with a twenty-kilo one, because the operator has to lower the load rather than slide it across.

Then match the strap width to what your store already buys, and tell us whether the machine will run in bursts or continuously. Those two answers are enough for us to quote the right model.

If the bench is against a wall, measure the clearance you have on the strap-coil side. The coil has to be reachable to be changed, and a machine pushed tight into a corner makes a two-minute coil change into a ten-minute one.

What this range will not do

It is not a heavy-duty machine. Cartons that need two people to lift belong on a standard height machine, and continuous all-shift running on a light-duty head is how heater blades get burnt out early.

It does not strap pallets or bundles that cannot be placed on the table.

And, like every strapping machine, it holds a carton closed - it does not seal it and it does not stabilise a stack.
