What is a semi automatic L-sealer?

The film roll is folded in half along its length. The operator slips a box between the layers and brings down the sealing frame, which closes the open front and side and cuts the pack free from the roll. Two versions exist: the magnetic LS5045S needs no compressor, while the pneumatic LS5045P works off an air line. Both draw 1.2 kW on 220 V and seal packs inside 500 x 450 mm.

Output of 800 - 1200 pieces an hour suits cosmetics, food trays, gift packs and boxed goods where sizes change through the day. For a shrunk finish, pair it with a shrink chamber or an S series tunnel. The frames weigh 110 kg and 135 kg, so give them a level floor. When one pack runs all shift, the automatic 5545A is the natural next step.

Sealing a gift box on the LS5045 – 4 steps

   Thread the filmHang the centre-fold roll, open its two layers over the loading plate, and confirm the box fits within 500 x 450 mm.

   Place the productSlide the box between the film layers and push it close to the fold, so the frame will meet clean film.

   Press and sealBring the frame down. The LS5045S holds it with magnets; the LS5045P closes with air pressure. Release once sealed.

   Shrink or dispatchSend the sealed pack to a chamber or tunnel for a tight wrap, or pack it as it is. Aim for 800 - 1200 an hour.
