Weeding by hand, cutting fodder with a hand chopper or carrying spray on foot from one end of a field to the other takes days that a small machine does in hours. PackForge sells eighteen farm machines: brush cutters from ₹10,250 + ₹1,845 GST, power weeders from ₹11,430 + ₹2,057 GST, chaff cutters from ₹14,260 + ₹2,567 GST, sprayers from ₹8,550 + ₹1,539 GST, petrol water pumps from ₹9,140 + ₹1,645 GST, and a chainsaw, an earth auger, a seeder and a rice transplanter. Each machine page shows the rate before GST, the 18% GST and the MRP.
Most of these machines are single-operator tools. The right one depends on the plot, the crop, the soil and the fuel you can get, not on the biggest engine. The guide below goes type by type.
Understand the Requirement Before Buying Farm Machinery
- What is the job? Clearing grass and bushes, loosening soil between rows, cutting fodder, spraying, lifting water, cutting wood, digging holes or sowing.
- How big is the plot, and how many hours a season? Short sessions on scattered plots favour lighter petrol machines; full days through the season favour diesel or larger engines.
- What is the ground like? Slopes and terraces, hard clay or wet paddy, stony soil or worked beds all change the right choice.
- What power is there? The electric chaff cutters need a 230 V single phase connection; most other machines carry their own petrol or diesel engine.
- Who will run it? Weight, harness fit and hand-starting matter more than engine figures to the person using it every day.
Things to Remember While Buying Agriculture Machinery
Fuel
- The 2-stroke machines (chainsaw, earth auger, mini weeder) need petrol mixed with 2T oil; plain petrol seizes them. The 4-stroke brush cutters and sprayers run on plain petrol.
Weight
- From about 8 to 11 kg for the brush cutters and the hand-carried sprayers, 75 to 90 kg for the petrol weeder and 110 to 130 kg for the diesel weeder.
Safety kit
- Helmet, face screen or goggles, ear protection, gloves, leg guards and safety boots for cutting tools; a mask and covered skin for spraying.
Spares
- Blades, filters, carburettors, pull starters and gear parts are held in stock for every model sold.
Warranty
- 12 months on manufacturing defects. Wear parts such as blades, belts and filters are not covered.
What Are the Types of Agriculture Machinery?
Brush Cutters
The 31 cc side pack at ₹10,250 + ₹1,845 GST and the GX35 backpack at ₹11,810 + ₹2,126 GST clear grass, weeds and bushes on bunds, orchards and plantation rows, with a metal blade (about 255 mm) or a nylon head (about 430 mm). Read the brush cutter buying guide.
Power Weeders
The 63 cc mini weeder (₹11,430 + ₹2,057 GST) works 300 to 450 mm wide in polyhouses and narrow beds; the 7 HP petrol (₹26,690 + ₹4,804 GST) and 7 HP diesel (₹37,870 + ₹6,817 GST) gear drive weeders work 800 to 1,100 mm wide. Read the power weeder buying guide.
Chaff Cutters
The 3 HP electric chaff cutter cuts about 500 to 800 kg of green fodder an hour; the conveyor model with motor about 800 to 1,000 kg. The conveyor model without motor couples to your own 2 to 3 HP motor, and the gear assembly repairs older cutters. Read the chaff cutter buying guide.
Sprayers
The 139F knapsack carries a 20 litre tank on the back; the GX35 sprayer gives 7 to 9 litres a minute; the HTP 7 HP gives 30 to 40 litres a minute through long hoses for orchards and big fields. Read the power sprayer buying guide.
Water Pumps
The 6.5 HP (₹9,140 + ₹1,645 GST) and 7 HP (₹9,860 + ₹1,775 GST) petrol pumps both have 3 inch ports and move about 900 to 1,000 litres a minute; the 7 HP is rated to a slightly higher head. Read the petrol water pump buying guide.
Chainsaw, Earth Auger, Seeder and Transplanter
The 58 cc chainsaw with a 22 inch bar cuts branches and logs; the 82 cc earth auger digs 100 to 300 mm holes; the manual seeder sows and drops fertilizer in one pass; the 2-row rice transplanter plants mat-type paddy seedlings by hand.

Tips to Use Farm Machines Safely and Well
- Use the right fuel – mix 2T oil only for the 2-stroke machines, in the stated ratio, in a marked can.
- Wear the protective kit every time, for every cutting and spraying job.
- Keep guards fitted on chaff cutters and brush cutters, and keep hands clear of feed openings.
- Never run an engine indoors or inside a closed pump room, where exhaust collects.
- Clear the work area of wire, stones and hidden nails before cutting or digging.
