What is a turntable stretch wrapper?

A forklift or hand truck sets the pallet on a turntable of 1,500 to 1,650 mm. The table spins, and the carriage travels up and down the mast, pulling film off the roll under a set force so it hugs the stack. Extra turns at the bottom lock the lowest layer together. The whole unit is around 2,600 x 1,650 x 2,400 mm, weighs 550 to 650 kg and draws about 1.5 kW, so plan a level spot with space around it.

Typical users are FMCG, beverage, chemical and logistics warehouses with a regular flow of standard pallets, roughly 20 to 40 an hour, and frees the two people who once walked round with a hand roll. Choose the film force on your weakest carton. Loads that will be rail-shunted or hook-lifted need straps through the pallet too. Wrapping a dispatch pallet on the turntable – 4 steps

   Set the pallet down levelPlace the loaded pallet in the middle of the turntable on a level floor so it does not lean as it turns.

   Fix the film tailPull film from the carriage roll, tie the tail to a pallet corner and choose the film force for this load.

   Run the cycleStart the turntable; the carriage climbs and comes down again, wrapping the stack in overlapping bands from base to top.

   Cut and dispatchStop the table, cut and press down the film tail, then lift the pallet away for loading.
