What is a semi automatic arch type strapping machine?

Pressing start sends strap from the coil below the table up and around a channel hidden inside the arch. The head grips the tip as it comes back, pulls the loop snug around the carton, seals the overlap and snips it free. One strap takes about 1.5 to 2.5 seconds, or roughly 1,200 an hour at a steady pace. It runs on 230 V single phase, drawing about 0.25 to 0.32 kW.

Packing halls, godowns, printing presses and despatch areas with an even daily flow suit it, and no conveyor is needed. The frame is about 895 x 565 x 735 mm and weighs 85 to 100 kg. Decide whether each carton gets one strap, two parallel or two crossed. When the operator becomes the bottleneck, move to the fully automatic Touch HMI machine; pallets need the pneumatic tool.
