What Pune packs, and what it demands

The city's packing divides fairly cleanly, and the machine follows the half you are in:

• Component supply to assembly lines — bins and pallets judged on how fast they open at a station, not on how strong they are.
• Machined and finished parts — protected from each other rather than from the road.
• Pharmaceutical and formulation output — where batch identity and a tamper-evident outer matter more than speed.
• Food and consumer goods — pouch and carton work with a date on every pack.
• Warehouse and distribution despatch — mixed pallets built for a delivery route.

Buying at fourteen hundred kilometres

We are not going to pretend distance is nothing. It affects three things and we would rather set them out than let you discover them.

Delivery. A machine of this size travels as ordinary road freight, run-tested and packed for the distance. Delivery is free, and buyers who prefer their own transporter on this route can collect instead. Tell us and the machine is handed over packed and ready.

Commissioning. Arrange it against a date when your floor and your power are actually ready. A visit that arrives to an unfinished site becomes two visits.

Parts. This is the one that matters. Hold the wearing parts locally rather than ordering them when the machine stops — the gripper, cutter and element on a strapping machine, the blade on a sealer. At this distance that shelf is the difference between an hour and a week.

Machines for line-side supply

Where you feed an assembly line, the receiving plant's opinion decides everything. A pallet that takes two minutes to open at a station is a complaint even if nothing inside it is damaged.

Wrap at a force that holds the stack and comes off in one movement. More thin film at low force is slower to remove than less film at the right force, and line-side people notice.

Where the stack is unstable or springy, a top press does what more film cannot. Where the load is heavy and square, a strap does it better than film alone.

Machines for regulated output

Pharmaceutical and food units here buy against an audit as much as against a production need, and the questions are about documentation and repeatability rather than throughput.

What we can supply is machinery with the wearing parts listed, the settings identifiable and the supply chain stated in writing. What we will not do is claim a certification we do not hold or attach a specification to a machine that has not been run against your own carton.

Two moderate machines, or one large one

It comes up on nearly every Pune enquiry, and the answer is more often two than buyers expect.

One large machine is cheaper per unit of capacity and stops the whole line when it stops. Two moderate machines cost more and let one be serviced while the other runs — which at this distance from the works is worth real money.

Where output is steady and the load never changes, buy the one. Where the mix varies or a stoppage is expensive, buy the two.

Tell us your volume honestly, including the bad week rather than the good one. Sizing a machine to an optimistic figure is the most common way to buy the wrong one.

Getting a straight quotation

Send the carton or load dimensions, the weight, how many an hour, and what happens to the load afterwards — stored, stacked, containerised or delivered.

You will get the machine that fits, the wearing parts list and the price with GST shown; delivery is free. If the honest answer is a smaller machine than you asked about, that is what the quotation will say.
