Ghaziabad makes heavy things. Steel, pipes, castings, engineering goods and glass all leave here, and none of them are a carton problem. They are a strapping and a lifting problem, and the machinery follows from that.
Where Noida packs light boxes in variety and Delhi packs mixed trade at a bench, Ghaziabad packs weight. That changes what matters: the strap has to hold a load that will not forgive it, and the handling equipment has to lift something that will hurt somebody if it goes wrong.
This page is about that end of the range — heavier strapping, drum handling and pallet equipment — rather than about carton sealing, which is a smaller part of the work here.
A bundle of pipes, a stack of sheet or a crate of castings does not behave like a carton. The load settles, the strap goes slack, and a strap that has gone slack on a truck is worse than no strap at all because it invites the load to move inside its own bundle.
Two things address it. The first is tension that can actually be set and repeated, which is what a semi automatic strapping machine gives you over a hand tool. The second, for genuinely heavy or awkward bundles that will never fit through an arch, is a pneumatic strapping tool used directly on the load — a compressed air tool that tensions, seals and cuts in one action, at a tension a person cannot reach by hand.
Strap specification matters more here than anywhere. Width and thickness are what decide the break load, and a machine set for one will not run the other well. Send the strap you use — or a photograph of the reel label — with the enquiry.
A 200-litre drum is a two-person lift that people attempt alone, and Ghaziabad's chemical, paint and lubricant units move a great many of them. The injuries happen at the tipping point, not at the lift.
A drum carrier and lifter takes the tipping point out. The jaw grips the rim, the hydraulic jack raises it, and a safety lock holds it — that last part is the feature worth checking before you buy anything, because a drum lifter without a reliable lock is a drum lifter that will eventually lower under load.
Capacity is quoted against a full steel drum. If you handle plastic drums, or drums that are heavier than standard, say so — the jaw geometry is not the same and the wrong one slips.
An engineering shop floor is not a warehouse floor. It has weld spatter, dropped swarf, oil, and expansion joints that a small wheel drops into. Pallet trucks fail here at the wheels long before anything else goes.
Polyurethane wheels last considerably longer than nylon on that kind of floor, and they are worth specifying at the order rather than replacing after six months. The load wheels take more punishment than the steer wheels, so those are the ones to keep a spare set of.
Capacity should be chosen against your heaviest pallet plus a margin, not against your average. A truck run permanently at its rated load is a truck whose seals go early.
Ghaziabad's industry runs along the older corridors: Sahibabad Industrial Area sites I to IV, Loni Road and the Loni industrial belt, Bulandshahr Road Industrial Area, Meerut Road, Kavi Nagar Industrial Area, and the newer plots out towards Masuri and the Delhi-Meerut expressway.
Sahibabad is the one where the heaviest work sits, and it is the closest to the Delhi border, so a machine coming from Faridabad crosses the NCR rather than the country. Prices are ex works, with GST and freight shown separately.
Stretch wrapping is not always right for heavy goods, and it is worth saying so on a page about them. Film holds a load together; it does not hold a load down. A stack of sheet or a bundle of pipe needs strapping and, on a pallet, often needs the pallet strapped to the load rather than the load wrapped to itself.
Where a wrapper does belong in Ghaziabad is on palletised finished goods that are light for their volume — packaged components, hardware, fittings. A turntable stretch wrapper is the machine, and its cost is dominated by the film it uses rather than by its price.
Wear parts are held in stock for every model we sell. On a strapping machine the heating element is the part that fails and stops production; on a pneumatic tool it is the tension wheel and the cutter; on a pallet truck the wheels and seal kit; on a drum lifter the jaw pads.
Keep the heating element on your own shelf. It is the cheapest insurance in the whole range, and the one whose absence costs the most on the day it goes.
