What this range covers

Vacuum packaging from the PackForge range - chamber, nozzle and gas flushing machines - supplied, installed and serviced by Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd., Faridabad.

A vacuum machine draws the air out of the pouch and seals it. Less air in the pack means less oxidation, less moisture movement and a much smaller pack for the same contents, which is why it is standard for meat, fish, paneer and cheese, dry fruit, masala, coffee, rice and pulses, and equally for engineering components that must not corrode in storage or transit.

Gas flushing is the variation for products that would be crushed by a hard vacuum. Instead of leaving the pack empty of air, the machine replaces it - so a snack or a soft bakery item keeps its shape.

Choosing the right one

The pack decides the machine. A chamber machine puts the whole pouch inside and is the normal choice for food. A nozzle machine draws the air through a tube and suits large or awkward bags that will not fit a chamber.

Then pouch size and how many packs an hour. A single-chamber bench machine and a double-chamber machine are different investments and the divider is throughput.

Then say whether the product is liquid, wet, powdery or fragile. Wet products need a machine and a cycle that will not draw liquid into the pump; fragile ones are the case for gas flushing.

What this range will not do

Vacuum packing slows deterioration; it does not sterilise and it does not replace cold chain for a perishable product.

It will not vacuum a pouch that is not a barrier pouch - an ordinary polythene bag will lose the vacuum.

And it does not fill or weigh. That is the filling range.

Chamber for most food packing in standard pouches; nozzle for large or awkward bags that will not fit inside a chamber. Send your pouch size and product and we will say which.

Can it handle wet or liquid products?

It needs the right machine and cycle so liquid is not drawn into the pump. Say clearly on the enquiry that the product is wet - it changes the recommendation.

What is gas flushing for?

How to choose a vacuum packaging machine – seal length, product and output

A chamber vacuum packer draws the air out of a pouch and seals it shut. Three points decide the model: how long the seal must be, whether the product is dry or wet, and how many pouches go through in a shift.

Single or double chamber?

With one chamber, the operator waits while each vacuum cycle runs. The VP2SB has two chambers under stainless steel hoods. The operator fills one chamber as the second one pulls its vacuum, so output stays higher. Each family is sold with 400, 500 or 600 mm seal bars; ask for rate on the 500 and 600 sizes. Choose a seal longer than your widest pouch laid flat, not just equal to it.

Wet products and special shapes

In a flat chamber, brine and sauce can creep into the seal area. The VP600V holds the pouch upright so the liquid stays down. It needs 380 V three phase and a compressed air connection, and weighs 255 kg. The SV650 forms the firm brick pack seen on coffee and spice powders. It is also three phase, with a 740 x 567 mm chamber.

Not every product needs a full vacuum. If the aim is to cushion snacks or flush in nitrogen, a band sealer may do. The CS900AF flushes air or nitrogen and seals at up to 12 m a minute (₹40,320 + ₹7,258 GST). The plain CS900 only seals (₹12,812 + ₹2,306 GST).

Understand the Requirement Before Buying a Vacuum Packer

Dry, powdery or wet? Sauces and gravies need the upright VP600V; powders that should end as a hard block need the SV650.
How wide is the pouch? The sealing bar must be longer: 260 or 280 mm on the table top pair, 400, 500 or 600 mm on the floor machines, up to 1000 mm on the VP600V.
How thick is the pack? The table top chamber is only 65 mm deep.
