What is a twin-bar table top impulse sealer like the FS450T / 600T?

Each press sends a pulse to both elements together. Because heat enters the film from top and bottom, the middle layers of a thick or gusseted bag fuse as well as the outer ones. The pulse is strong: 1540 W on the FS450T and 1640 W on the FS600T. Even so, both run from an ordinary 220 V / 50 Hz single phase socket, since they draw that power only during the pulse.

Garment units, hardware traders and grain packers working at a fixed bench, with sealing mixed in among counting or labelling, are the usual users. The FS450T weighs 15 kg and the FS600T 20 kg. When your widest bag comes near 450 mm, choose the 600. Long nonstop runs belong on a CS900 band sealer, and foil pouches on the FS300D / 400D hot bar.

Sealing a garment liner on the FS450T / 600T – 4 steps

   Place on a benchSet the sealer on a firm bench at working height and put the foot switch where the operator stands.

   Check bag widthLay the bag mouth across the bar; it should fit inside 450 or 600 mm with room at both ends.

   Trial your filmSeal an offcut of your thickest bag first and peel it open to see that every layer has fused.

   Press and holdClose the bars, let both sides heat and then cool under pressure, and lift out the sealed bag.
