What is a heavy duty 20 inch impulse sealer?
Rice mills, flour mills and feed plants close heavy bags on every shift. For them the 500 mm bar comes in this Heavy Duty build: a 600 W element, a 4.8 kg body and a 2 mm seal across bags up to 19.5 inch, made for continuous use and covered for five years. Choose it when the sealer is part of the production line, not a side tool.
Through a shift it handles 5 kg atta bags of 16 × 24 inch, 10 kg rice bags of 18 × 28 inch, and PE liners for cattle and poultry feed sealed in bulk. Grocery repackers running two or three packing tables, and seed and fertilizer dealers in the sowing season, are its other regular buyers.

Flour and bran dust settle quickly, so brush the Teflon strip at each break and inspect its full length at shift change. Hold the arm through the cool-down before lifting a heavy bag. Keep a register of element and strip changes; on two shifts it shows when spares must be reordered.
Heavy Duty 20 or the Standard twin
A small chakki that packs atta for an hour in the morning gets the same seal from the Standard 20 inch with a 2-year warranty. Mills and feed plants that seal all shift should stay with Heavy Duty. Liners of 22 to 23 inch need the Heavy Duty 24 inch, and 2 kg grocery packs are easier on the Heavy Duty 16 inch. Stitched 25 to 50 kg woven sacks need a sack closer.

Is the Heavy Duty 20 inch meant for a mill running two shifts?
Yes, the Heavy Duty build and 5-year warranty are meant for continuous use of this kind. Its element and Teflon strip wear with use, so a mill on two shifts should keep spares at hand.
Can it seal the liner of a cattle-feed sack?
Yes. Draw the PE liner up, lay its mouth across the 500 mm bar and seal it, then stitch the outer woven sack as usual.
Which timer number should a rice mill use?
There is no single number, because it depends on the bag film. Thicker PP rice bags need more than thin LDPE. Start low on a scrap bag, go up one step at a time, and stop when the seal no longer peels.
Is one machine enough for a mill?
One machine serves one sealing point at a steady pace. If several packing tables feed a single sealer, bags will queue, so plan a sealer for each busy table.
Can it seal bags still hanging from a filling spout?
No. Take the bag off the spout and lay its mouth flat across the bar. Seal on a bench at working height, with the filled bag standing on a stool or platform just below it.
Can it seal both 5 kg and 10 kg bags in the same shift?
Yes, both fit within 19.5 inch. If the two sizes use different film, keep separate dial marks, change the setting with the bag size and make one test seal before carrying on.
