What is a hydraulic hand pallet truck?

Pumping the handle pushes oil into a small cylinder above the steering wheels. That raises the forks from about 85 mm to about 200 mm, enough for the pallet to clear the floor. The same handle steers the truck, and a lever on it opens the release valve to drop the load. The forks are about 1,150 mm long, 550 or 685 mm across the outside, and the truck weighs about 65 to 75 kg.

It is the everyday mover for short, frequent pallet trips in godowns, packing rooms, docks, cold stores, distributors and shop back rooms. Nylon wheels roll lightly on smooth concrete, while PU is gentler on patched floors. It cannot lift to racks; the PS2.0 stacker handles that. For pallets held at waist height, the PT1.5HL is the next step.

Moving a pallet with the hand pallet truck – 4 steps

   Lower and enterDrop the forks to about 85 mm and push them fully into the pallet openings, centred under the load.

   Pump to liftSet the lever to lift and pump the handle a few times until the pallet rises clear, up to about 200 mm.

   Pull and steerWalk ahead pulling the handle, slowing on turns and stopping well before walls or racks.

   Release and withdrawUse the lowering lever to set the pallet fully down, then pull the forks straight out. Never park it raised.
