What is a hydraulic drum truck?

A jaw at the front hooks under the rolled lip of the drum. Pumping the handle drives a small hydraulic ram, and each stroke raises the jaw about 20 mm. A few strokes are enough to clear the floor. The truck then rides on 180 x 50 mm rear wheels and 85 x 50 mm front wheels. A lowering valve sets the speed of descent, so the drum comes down without a thud.

Chemical, paint, oil and pharma stores use it to take drums from the receiving gate to a mixing room or dispensing area. At 60 kg and 1025 x 915 x 1180 mm, it parks in a corner when idle. It neither stacks nor pours. For pallet height, racking or decanting, move up to the DS0.35 stacker and tilter.

Shifting a drum on the DT0.3 – 4 steps

   Line up the jawPush the truck square to the drum and let the jaw sit under the rim, centred on the face of the drum.

   Pump a littleGive a few strokes of about 20 mm each until the base clears the floor. Travel does not need the full 400 mm.

   Wheel it acrossPull the truck at walking pace over flat floor. Keep both hands on the handle near ramps or drain covers.

   Set it downOpen the lowering valve gently, let the drum settle fully on the floor, then back the jaw out from the rim.
