PackForge DS0.35 Drum Stacker & Tilter

What is a drum stacker and tilter?

Inside the mast sits a hydraulic ram worked by a pump handle. Each stroke lifts the drum about 20 mm, so the climb is slow and steady. A release valve brings it down at whatever pace the operator chooses. Once the drum is high enough, the hand wheel drives a gear that rolls it forward, and it stays at that angle until the wheel is turned back.

Paint, oil, lubricant, chemical and food units use it to pour from drums into tins, buckets or mixing tanks. At 160 kg it is not a casual mover, so if drums only need shifting at floor level, the DT0.3 drum truck is lighter. Plan the route as well: the frame is 890 mm wide, about 2000 mm tall, and rolls on 85 x 50 mm front and 180 x 50 mm rear wheels.

Pouring from a drum on the DS0.35 – 4 steps

1. 1
Clamp the drumBring the legs around a full 200 litre drum, close the grab on its rim and check that it sits square before any lifting.
2. 2
Pump to pour heightWork the handle; every stroke adds about 20 mm. Stop as soon as the spout clears the rim of the tin or tank.
3. 3
Turn the hand wheelRotate the wheel slowly to tip the drum forward. It holds that angle, so you can watch the flow and correct it.
4. 4
Level and lowerWind the drum back upright, then open the release valve and let it down gently before opening the grab.
