Packaging Machines for Africa

PackForge builds packaging machines for Africa at its Faridabad works: sealers, strapping and carton sealing machines, wrappers, pallet trucks and farm machines, wired for your mains supply and crated for the sea leg to your port.

  • EXW, FOB or CIF quotes
  • Built for your supply voltage
  • Spares kit can ship in the crate
  • Advance or LC payment
Quick answer: PackForge Industries, Faridabad, exports packaging machines to Africa and quotes EXW, FOB or CIF to any African port. Tell us the voltage, phase and frequency at site and the machine is built for it. Payment is advance or LC. We recommend a wear-parts kit packed in the same crate and listed on the quotation, and distributors across Africa are welcome to apply.

What we build and send to African buyers

Everything on this page comes from one assembly floor in Faridabad, Haryana. We make sealing, strapping, carton sealing and wrapping machines, material handling equipment and a farm range, and each unit is run-tested before it is crated.

Africa by region: five markets, five sets of ports

Africa is too big to treat as one market. A buyer in Casablanca and a buyer in Kampala differ in freight route, language on documents, trade bloc and the goods they pack. We plan each quote around the region, the port your cargo lands at and the inland leg after it.

The table below gives the main gateways and typical packing work. Country pages will hang off these five regions over time; until then, the region note is the place to start.

What packers in each region tend to ask for

Patterns, not rules: your product and output decide the machine.

North Africa

Food processors and pharma units often want band sealers for pouches, carton sealers for export outers and pallet trucks for busy stores near Mediterranean ports.

West Africa

Small food brands packing flour, spices and snacks start with impulse or band sealers. Cocoa and cashew traders look at strapping for bags and cartons.

Central Africa

Cassava and flour mills, bakeries and distributors inland from Douala or Pointe-Noire need simple sealers that a local fitter can keep running.

East Africa

Tea, coffee and pulse packers, plus fast-growing online sellers around Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, ask for band sealers, strappers and stretch wrappers.

Southern Africa

Fruit packhouses, warehouses and mining stores tend to need strapping, pallet wrapping and material handling for long road legs to landlocked neighbours.

Mains supply in Africa: confirm before we build

Most African markets run on 220 to 240 V single phase and 380 to 415 V three phase at 50 Hz. That is close to the Indian supply, so many of our machines suit it as built. A few places are different; Liberia, for example, runs at 60 Hz with a mix of 120 V and 240 V points. Treat the general rule as a starting point, not a promise.

  • Send the voltage, phase and frequency measured at the bench, not the national figure.
  • Say whether you run from the grid, a generator or both.
  • Fit a stabiliser or surge protector where voltage swings. Damage from power faults is outside warranty.

Machines that suit patchy power and few technicians

Many sites face load shedding, long cable runs or a single fitter for the whole plant. In those conditions, choose machines that draw little power, need no three phase supply and can be repaired with a spanner and a spare.

EXW, FOB or CIF: who arranges what

Every export quote can show all three, so you can price your own freight against ours.

Payment, spares and warranty for an African order

Three points settled on the quotation, before anything is built.

Advance or letter of credit

Pay by advance remittance or open an LC. If you choose an LC, mail us the draft first so every clause is one both sides can meet.

Wear parts in the same crate

We list the parts your model and shift pattern will use in the first year; if you add them to the order, they travel in the machine crate, so a stop does not wait for a sailing.

Warranty in writing

Export warranty terms are written on the export quotation. Support is by phone, WhatsApp and video, with parts sent by air when urgent.

Distributors in Africa are welcome

A local dealer who can demonstrate, stock spares and change a heating element is worth more to a buyer than a cheaper machine with no one nearby. We appoint distributors in African markets on dealer rates, with a demonstration machine and product training. PackForge keeps warranty and spares responsibility, and your customers get the same warranty and part prices as a direct buyer. Apply on the distributor page.

What to send for an export quote

Put these in one WhatsApp message or email and the quote can come back complete.

  • Country, destination port and the inland town where the machine will stand
  • Voltage, phase and frequency measured at site
  • Product, pack size and output per shift
  • EXW, FOB or CIF, and your forwarder if you have one
  • Any pre-shipment inspection or conformity rule your country applies
  • Advance or LC, and your bank's document list

Questions people ask

Do you supply packaging machines anywhere in Africa?

We export to African markets from Faridabad. Send the country and port and we will say plainly whether we have shipped there before, what papers the shipment needs, and how the inland leg usually works from that port.

Will an Indian machine run on our power supply?

Usually yes, because most African mains are 220 to 240 V or 380 to 415 V at 50 Hz, like India. Some places differ, so always send the reading at your site and we build to it.

Which machines are easiest to keep running with few technicians?

Low-power, single phase or hand-operated machines: impulse sealers, manual and battery strapping tools, hydraulic pallet trucks and the farm range. Their wear parts are few and an operator can change most of them with basic tools.

How do you pack a machine for the sea journey?

In an export crate built for humidity, salt air and port handling, with timber treated to ISPM 15 where your country asks for it. A spares kit, if you order one, travels inside the same crate.

Can my own forwarder collect the machine?

Yes. Ask for an EXW or FOB price and hand the cargo to your forwarder in Faridabad or at the Indian port. Many importers already have a good freight rate and prefer this.

How long will the order take to reach my port?

It is build time plus sea transit, and transit depends on the route and the shipping line. Both are written on your quotation rather than guessed here.

Can I trade machines across borders as an African distributor?

Yes, many dealers serve neighbouring countries. Trade blocs such as AfCFTA, ECOWAS, EAC and SADC have their own rules of origin and duty, so check with your customs broker before quoting a buyer in another country.

Planning an import into Africa?

Send your port, site supply and the machine you need on WhatsApp or by email. We reply with EXW, FOB and CIF prices and the papers involved.
