Induction Sealing Machine

An induction sealing machine bonds the aluminium foil wad inside a cap to the bottle neck without touching it. PackForge offers it in two forms: the hand-held IS100 and the conveyor IS200.

Quick answer: an induction cap sealing machine heats the foil liner in a closed cap with an electromagnetic field, so the liner melts onto the bottle rim and gives a tamper-evident, leak-proof inner seal. The IS100 is held over each cap and suits caps of 20 to 135 mm; the IS200 seals capped bottles on a conveyor at 2 to 12 metres a minute.

How an induction foil sealing machine works

The bottle is filled and capped as usual, with a cap that carries an induction wad: a layer of aluminium foil with a heat-seal coating. When the capped bottle passes under the sealing head, an electromagnetic field heats only the foil. The coating melts onto the bottle rim, and when the field is removed the foil stays bonded. The cap and the product are not heated directly, which is why the same machine can seal edible oil, pharma syrup, agro-chemicals and cosmetics.

The result is the peel-off foil you find under the cap of an oil or medicine bottle. It shows at once if the bottle has been opened, and it keeps the contents from leaking in transit even if the cap loosens.

The IS100 suits small and medium bottling units, sample runs and odd sizes, because one person can move it to any bottle. The IS200 suits a filling line where bottles arrive one after another and nobody should stand over each cap.

Who uses an induction cap sealing machine

Edible oil packers, pharma and Ayurvedic syrup makers, agro-chemical and pesticide bottlers, cosmetic and hair oil brands, and food packers sealing pickles in jars all use the same principle. Any bottle that must reach a shop or a customer unopened and dry is a candidate. The IS200 product page names edible oil, pharma, agro-chemical, cosmetic and food bottlers as its users; the IS100 is found on smaller benches doing the same job by hand.

What to check before ordering

  • Cap and wad: the cap must carry an induction wad; ordinary caps without foil will not seal.
  • Cap diameter: within 20 to 135 mm for the IS100 or 20 to 130 mm for the IS200.
  • Bottle height: the IS200 takes 40 to 400 mm; the IS100 has no limit.
  • Output: a few hundred bottles a day sit well with the IS100; a running line needs the IS200.
  • Capping: induction does not tighten the cap. For screw caps of 25 to 40 mm see the CL40, or the DEC80 desktop capper for small batches.

Induction sealing machine price

The hand-held IS100 starts at ₹4,999 + ₹900 GST and the conveyor IS200 at from ₹58,240 + ₹10,483 GST; both come in more than one version, so the product pages list each option with its rate. Delivery is free to any Indian PIN code, payment goes through Razorpay, and every order has a GST invoice from Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd. Both machines carry 12 months of warranty on manufacturing defects, wear parts excluded. The whole closing range – cappers, can sealer, crown capper and tube sealer – is on the capping and can sealing page, and the sealing machine price list puts induction next to every other sealer type.

Getting a good induction seal

  1. Tighten the cap evenly first so the wad sits flat on the rim.
  2. Keep the rim clean and dry – oil or syrup on the rim stops the coating from bonding.
  3. Centre the head over the cap on the IS100, and match conveyor speed to cap size on the IS200.
  4. Peel-test the first bottles of every batch: the foil should come away cleanly and cover the whole rim.

IS100 versions and prices

The hand-held IS100 is sold in three cap-size versions, so you pay only for the range you need: 20 to 80 mm at ₹4,999 + ₹900 GST, 20 to 100 mm at ₹5,999 + ₹1,080 GST and 20 to 135 mm (PF-IND-130) at ₹9,499 + ₹1,710 GST. Choose the smallest range that covers your largest cap. All three are hand held, so bottle height never needs setting, and all run on 220 V.

The conveyor IS200 starts at ₹58,240 + ₹10,483 GST; its product page lists each option with its own rate.

Searching for a foil sealing machine?

“Foil sealing machine”, “bottle induction sealing machine” and “induction foil sealing machine” all describe the same job: bonding an aluminium foil liner to the mouth of a container. On PackForge that job is done by the IS100 and IS200. They do not seal cups, pouches or cans – a cup with a film lid needs the manual cup sealing machine, a pouch needs a band sealer or an impulse sealer, and a metal can needs the ECS150 can sealer.

Where the induction sealer sits on a bottling line

  1. Filling – liquid, paste or granule goes into the bottle.
  2. Capping – the cap, with its induction wad inside, is screwed down by hand or by a capper such as the CL40 (up to 1200 bottles an hour) or the DEC80 desktop unit.
  3. Induction sealing – the IS200 on the conveyor, or the IS100 by hand, bonds the foil.
  4. Labelling and packing – see the labelling machines.

The order matters: the IS200 product page says a capper must come first, because a loose cap under a fast head gives a bad seal. On the IS200 a water-cooled coil lets the head work through a full shift instead of resting between batches, and the conveyor carries up to 20 kg.

Before you order: send these details

  • Every cap diameter you use, and whether the caps already carry induction wads.
  • The shortest and tallest bottle with its cap on – the IS200 head must clear the tallest and still seal the shortest.
  • Bottles per hour on a busy day, and whether there is a conveyor already.
  • What is inside: oil, syrup, agro-chemical, cosmetic or food.

Model counts and rates for the whole closing range – induction, cappers, crown, can and tube – are graphed under PackForge Insights on the capping and can sealing page.

All rates in one table are on the induction sealing machine price page, and the wad itself is explained on induction wad sealing.

The principle, with a diagram, is on how an induction sealing machine works.

Frequently Asked Questions about Induction Sealing Machines

What is an induction sealing machine used for?

To bond the foil wad inside a cap to the bottle neck, giving a tamper-evident, leak-proof inner seal on oil, pharma, food and cosmetic bottles.

Is induction sealing the same as capping?

No. Capping tightens the cap; induction sealing bonds the foil liner under it. Most lines cap first and then induction seal.

Which caps can the IS100 seal?

Caps from 20 to 135 mm across, fitted with an induction wad, on bottles of any height.

How fast is the IS200?

Bottles pass under its head on a conveyor at 2 to 12 metres a minute, for bottles 40 to 400 mm tall.

Does induction sealing heat the product?

The field heats the aluminium foil in the cap rather than the bottle or its contents.

What does the IS100 cost?

Three versions: 20 to 80 mm caps at ₹4,999 + ₹900 GST, 20 to 100 mm at ₹5,999 + ₹1,080 GST and 20 to 135 mm at ₹9,499 + ₹1,710 GST.

Do you have a separate sealer for jars with wide mouths?

The IS100 in its 20 to 135 mm version covers caps up to 135 mm across, and the IS200 up to 130 mm. Send the cap size if it is near the top of the range.

Can the IS200 run without a capper in front of it?

Not well. The IS200 does not tighten caps, and loose caps under a fast head give bad seals, so a capper comes first on the line.
