Turntable Stretch Wrappers

A turntable stretch wrapper does the one job that keeps a pallet intact from your dock to your customer's: it restrains the load. The pallet turns, the film carriage travels up and down, and film goes on at a tension the machine holds the same on every pallet.

That is the difference from hand wrapping, and it is worth stating plainly - a person wrapping by hand cannot apply consistent tension, gets slower as the day goes on, and uses considerably more film to get a weaker wrap. Units that switch usually notice the film bill before they notice the machine.

It belongs at the end of a packing line or in the dispatch bay: FMCG and food distribution, beverage, chemicals in drums or carboys, ceramic and building products, third-party logistics, and any exporter whose pallets go into a container where nothing is going to hold them but the film.

Choosing the right one

The first thing we need is your load - the pallet footprint, the maximum height with the load on, and the weight. Those three settle the turntable size and the machine's capacity band.

The second is how the pallet gets on. A ramp lets a hand pallet truck drive it on; a pit-mounted turntable sits flush with the floor so it can be walked or driven straight on. If neither is possible, you are lifting pallets onto the table with a forklift, which is fine but changes the layout.

The third is the film pattern. Reinforcing the top and bottom of the load, or wrapping the top surface against dust and rain, changes what you should be looking at. Say where the pallet travels and how it is stored, because a load going onto an open truck in the monsoon is a different problem from one crossing a warehouse.

What this range will not do

Film restrains a load - it does not carry it. Stretch wrap is not a substitute for a sound pallet or for strapping a bundle that will be lifted by the wrap.

It will not straighten a badly built pallet. Overhanging cartons stay overhanging and the film cuts into their edges.

And it does not make a load waterproof. Even with a top sheet, wrapping is not weather protection.
