What is an online automatic labelling machine?

Containers travel along the belt and are spaced apart before they reach the label head. A sensor detects each one, the reel advances, and a label peels off its backing liner onto the passing surface. Rollers then press it round the body so both edges lie flat with no bubbles. The whole line can run anywhere from 20 to 120 pieces a minute on a 220 V supply drawing 1000 W.

It fits pharma, food, cosmetic, drink and chemical plants where filling and capping already move on a conveyor. The reel takes labels up to 200 mm in length and 120 mm in width, with 20 mm as the smallest size each way. Allow floor space of about 1220 by 950 mm. Flat or oval packs need the FBL PN, and low daily counts are easier to justify on the bench RBL.

Labelling a bottle run on the ALM – 4 steps

   Load the label reelFit the roll on its holder, thread the liner past the peel plate and confirm the label length sits within 20 to 200 mm.

   Set the guidesAdjust the side rails to the container diameter, anywhere from 30 to 100 mm, so each bottle travels straight and upright.

   Match the line speedSet the belt between 20 and 120 pieces a minute to suit the filler ahead, leaving a little spare capacity.

   Check placementRun a few bottles, measure label height against your mark and fine-tune until each one lands within about 1 mm.
