What is a mini granule FFS machine?

Film 16 cm wide is pulled over a forming collar that folds it into a tube around the filling pipe. Heated jaws seal the back seam and the bottom, a measured dose drops in from the 4 kg hopper, and the top seal closes that pack while the next one starts to form. Each sachet comes out 8 cm wide, at 15 to 25 a minute on a 220 V supply.

It suits tea, sugar, salt, seed, supari and mukhwas packers selling many small packs each month. You can stretch the pouch to as much as 16 cm long for bigger doses, and weight holds within about 0.1 to 0.2 g. Settle the film grade before installation. For packs above 100 g, look at the PGF999, which fills ready-made pouches.

Making sachets on the GF100 – 4 steps

   Thread the filmMount the 16 cm reel, lead it over the forming collar and down past the sealing jaws to the cutter.

   Fill the hopperPour up to 4 kg of dry, free-flowing granules into the hopper and keep it topped up during the run.

   Set dose and lengthChoose the weight, from 2 to 100 g, and set the pouch length so the product sits well below the top seal.

   Weigh and runCheck-weigh the first ten sachets, correct the dose, then run steadily at 15 to 25 packs a minute.
