What is a pickle filling machine like the 1000P?

Inside, a slow agitator keeps turning the 90 litre charge so heavy pieces do not sink below the oil. On each stroke, air at 0.4 to 0.6 MPa pulls the piston back to draw in a measured volume, then pushes it out through the wide nozzle. The dose can be set anywhere from 100 to 1000 ml, and the machine cycles 10 to 18 times a minute while its controls draw only 20 W.

It suits pickle and chutney units packing glass jars, PET jars or stand-up pouches, from a small table jar up to a 1 kg family pack. Because it doses by volume and not by weight, put a few packs on a scale at every changeover. Jars then go on to capping and foil sealing. Smooth pastes without pieces are easier on the PF Series.

Filling a pickle jar on the 1000P – 4 steps

   Charge the hopperPour the mixed pickle into the 90 litre hopper and start the stirrer so oil and pieces stay blended before the first dose.

   Set air and doseHold supply air between 0.4 and 0.6 MPa, then set the piston stroke for your jar, anywhere from 100 to 1000 ml.

   Check on a scaleFill three jars, weigh each one and adjust the stroke until the weight agrees with the figure printed on your label.

   Run and washWork at a steady 10 to 18 fills a minute, then drain the hopper and wash the oily parts before the shift ends.
