A great deal of what moves here has never seen a carton. Jute, rods, pipe, castings, sacks and bales are tied, and the tie is the packaging.
That makes the strap a load-bearing part rather than a shape-holding one, and it makes strap specification more important than the machine. Width and thickness decide the break load, and a heavy bundle will find the weakest reel in your stock.
Where bundles are moved with a hook — which in this belt they routinely are — film buys nothing, because a hook goes straight through it. Strap and a protected corner are the honest answer.

Board loses stack strength as it takes up moisture, so a carton specified for a stack will not hold that stack in August. Tape adhesive grabs poorly on a damp flap, and a seal made on a damp carton opens later.
Keep board, tape and film covered and off the floor, and let cold goods reach ambient temperature before sealing them — a warm pack closed in a cool room condenses inside.

Much of this belt works in premises laid out long before pallets were normal. Floors are uneven, lanes are narrow, and loading happens on a street.
A hydraulic hand pallet truck is the workhorse where the floor allows one, and wheel choice decides whether it helps. A hard wheel rolls well on good concrete and hammers over broken sections; a softer wheel absorbs the surface and drags on a slope.

Tea, spice and food packing in this region is a sealing question, and the seal carries a claim about weight and date.
The common failure is product in the seal line. A stray leaf or a trace of powder between the films makes a seal that looks complete and is not, and it opens in a distributor's godown weeks later.
Fill below the seal line, and pull the first pack of every batch apart by hand. A proper seal tears the film; one that peels cleanly was never a seal.
