What is a cap closing machine like the CL40?

The operator sets a filled bottle under the head with its cap loosely in place. A 0.37 kW motor spins the chuck, which grips the cap and turns it down the thread until the set torque is reached, then releases. Because the machine, not a tired wrist, decides when to stop, every bottle in the batch gets an even closure. The motor runs on ordinary single phase 220 V.

It fits oil, sauce, cosmetic, pharma and chemical units capping up to 1200 bottles an hour. The P version stands 650 by 200 mm on the bench and the M version 350 by 250 mm. For a tamper-evident foil, follow it with the IS100 or the IS200; very small batches may only need the DEC80.

   Set bottle heightRaise or lower the head so it meets the cap squarely, for any bottle from 50 to 320 mm tall.

   Fit the cap chuckMount the chuck that matches your cap size within 25 to 40 mm, and set torque using a sample cap and liner.

   Cap and testSeat each bottle under the head, let it tighten, then open a few by hand to check for leaks and easy opening.
