What is a skin packaging machine like the SK390 / 540?

A heater softens PVC or PE skin film above the loaded card. The film is then lowered and suction through the board draws it down, so it wraps closely round every edge of the item and sticks to the coated card surface. The working area is 390 x 540 mm on the SK390 and 540 x 780 mm on the SK540, and both turn out 50 to 60 pcs per hour.

Traders with long product lists in short runs, such as spanners, auto parts, kitchen tools or stationery, avoid buying a tool for every item. Power decides the model: the SK390 needs 7.5 kW on single phase 220 V, the SK540 12 kW on three phase 380 V. For one repeat shape with a glossy look, compare the BP500 blister sealer.

   Lay out cardsArrange coated cards on the bed, as many as fit within 390 x 540 or 540 x 780 mm.

   Place productsSet each tool or part on its card with a little space between items for the film to wrap.

   Run the cycleBring the heated PVC or PE film down so suction pulls it tight around each product on the cards.

   Cut and checkSeparate the cards, then tug each item gently to confirm the film has bonded to the board.
