What is a brick shape vacuum packing machine?

The filled pouch sits inside a stainless steel 304 chamber measuring 740 x 567 x 309 mm. Once the lid closes, a pump moving 40 cubic metre per hour pulls the pressure down to 1 kPa. With the air gone, the film squeezes the loose powder into a firm block. A 10 mm seal then closes the mouth. The motor is 1100 W and sealing takes 500 W, all on a 380 V, 50 Hz supply.

Roasters and spice brands selling to retail or export gain from packs that fill a master carton with no wasted gaps. Powders and fine granules hold the shape well, but whole beans and leaf tea spring back. Those are happier in a pillow pouch on the VP single chamber range, and small counter lots suit the VP250. Give the 250 kg machine a firm, level spot.

Making a coffee brick on the SV650 – 4 steps

   Fill the pouchWeigh ground coffee into the pouch, tap it so the powder settles evenly, and keep the mouth clean for sealing.

   Load the chamberLay the pouch inside the 740 x 567 x 309 mm steel chamber with its mouth across the 10 mm seal bar.

   Draw the vacuumClose the lid and let the 40 cubic metre per hour pump bring the chamber down towards 1 kPa.

   Seal and stackAfter the seal, open the lid, press the brick to feel it is hard and square, and pack it into the master carton.
