What is a high lift pallet truck?

The pump handle drives a hydraulic ram that first lifts the forks off the floor from 85 mm, as on any pallet truck. Keep pumping and the forks carry on climbing until they reach 800 mm. A release lever brings them down. The forks are 1150 mm long and 685 mm across the outside, and the truck itself weighs 85 kg, so one person can steer it easily around a packing area.

It earns its keep at packing benches, kitting points, assembly lines and in stores where staff pick straight off pallets. A packer can build a pallet layer by layer and lower it as it fills. It does not reach racks; for that, see the PS2.0 or PS1.5S stacker. For loose parts at working height rather than full pallets, the TT table truck fits better.

Setting up a pallet work station with the PT1.5HL – 4 steps

   Enter the palletLower the forks to 85 mm and slide the 1150 mm forks fully into the pallet, centred under the load.

   Move it lowPump just enough to clear the floor and pull the pallet to the work spot. Never travel with it raised high.

   Raise to work heightOn level, sound floor, keep pumping until the top sits at a comfortable level, anywhere up to 800 mm.

   Adjust as the stack changesLet the forks down a little as layers build up, or pump higher as you pick, so the work stays at waist level.
