When to choose 25 mm over 12.7 mm
Choose one inch for shipper cartons, cement and feed bags, wooden boxes and pipes – anything read in a warehouse rather than in a hand. It also fits 5 to 8 lines of small text, so the batch, dates, MRP, net weight and a logo can go in one pass.
Cartridge cost
A 25 mm printer uses a wider cartridge (or two half-inch cartridges side by side), so each cartridge costs more than a 12.7 mm one. If most of your codes are small, a 12.7 mm printer is cheaper to run.
Surfaces
