The Ecotech plots, together with Surajpur and Kasna, hold large-plot manufacture — appliances, auto components, building products — and an increasing amount of warehousing and fulfilment.
This page is about the two things a large modern shed actually buys: wrapping and moving.
The pallet is the unit here, from the start
Unlike in the older estates, nothing in Greater Noida is a bench-machine problem. Goods are palletised early and stay palletised, and the packing decisions are about the pallet rather than the box.
A turntable stretch wrapper is the centre of that, and its real cost is film rather than price. Badly adjusted, a wrapper burns roughly fifty per cent more film than the same wrapper adjusted well, and at the dispatch volumes of a big Ecotech shed that waste outruns the purchase price of the machine within about two years. Only two settings really decide it — film force and the count of top wraps — and both belong to your own pallets, not to a factory default.
For appliance and building-product pallets — tall, sometimes uneven — a top press earns its place. Heavy pallets bound for distant customers get strapping round pallet and load together, on top of the film.
Fulfilment: variety at volume
In a fulfilment shed every order is different, so box heights change from one carton to the next and the person at the station may have started that week. Any machine that wants resetting for each box simply gets walked around instead, and nobody notices for weeks.
The automatic random carton sealing machine reads the size of every box by itself and tapes both top and bottom with nobody choosing a setting. In a Greater Noida fulfilment shed it takes the place of several hand-taping stations, and just as important, every seal comes out the same — whereas a sloppily taped parcel tends to get measured again by the courier and billed at a higher rate.
Watch the sensor: pale or shiny boxes can slip past it unread. Tuning it to the cartons you really ship, not to one demonstration box, cures this — an adjustment rather than a defect, and one to make during commissioning.
Pallet trucks on a good floor
A modern shed has the one thing older estates do not: a level floor. That changes the wheel decision, and it is worth taking advantage of.
Nylon wheels are quieter and cheaper on a good floor and will last. Polyurethane costs more and is what you specify when the floor is bad. On a new shed, nylon is usually the right answer, and we will say so rather than upsell.
Even on a smooth floor, pick the capacity with headroom above the heaviest pallet you move; a truck that always works at its full rating wears out its hydraulic seals before their time, good floor or not.
Seasonal peaks, and hiring a machine's worth of people instead
A shed that despatches to a retail calendar does four or five times its normal volume for a few weeks a year, and the usual answer is temporary staff.
That is often right, and it is worth saying so. A machine sized for the peak stands idle for ten months; people can be hired for six weeks. Where the peak is genuinely short, hands beat capital, and we will tell you that rather than quote for the peak.
Where it stops being right is consistency. Temporary staff seal cartons to a temporary standard, and a courier re-measuring a badly taped box costs the same in November as in June. The machine that earns its place in a seasonal shed is usually the one that removes an operator decision rather than the one that runs fastest.
Equipping a shed from empty
A new site is the one case where buying everything at once is genuinely cheaper than buying it in pieces, and it is worth saying so at the enquiry rather than after the first machine.
Share the whole plan — wrapping points, sealing stations, pallet trucks, and the timeline for each — and we price the full package in one quotation. Asking months later for that package rate on a single machine is much harder to agree.
Site conditions decide the commissioning: power, floor, and where each machine will stand. Send those with the enquiry and the visit is planned around them rather than discovered on the day.
Docks, trailer heights and where the wrapper should actually stand
A new shed is usually designed around the dock, and the packing equipment is placed afterwards, in whatever space is left. That is the wrong way round and it is easy to fix while the building is still empty.
Once a pallet is wrapped, it should go straight out. A wrapper placed far from the dock means each pallet is moved to be wrapped and then moved again to the door — one extra trip for every pallet, for as long as the shed operates. Siting the wrapper in the final bay next to the dock does away with that trip.
The second thing worth deciding early is the trailer mix. A dock levelled for one trailer height is awkward for another, and a shed that receives on 20-foot vehicles and despatches on 40-foot ones is doing two different jobs at the same door. That is not our equipment, but it decides where our equipment should go, and it is much cheaper to think about now.

Pale or glossy boxes can escape the sensor. Its sensitivity can be adjusted, and the right time to tune it to your own cartons is during commissioning.
