A garment's first pack is a polybag, and the bag is closed thousands of times a day by somebody paid by the piece. Whatever machine you buy has to survive that, not a demonstration.
Udyog Nagar & Peeragarhi · Delhi, Delhi
Udyog Nagar and the belt around Peeragarhi hold hosiery, garment stitching and finishing, printing, plastic goods and a great deal of contract work for larger brands, in small units stacked several floors high.
PackForge Industries is a division of Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd. Sealing machines are Fulcrum catalogue models, supplied, installed and serviced by Fulcrum Infratech — not built at our Faridabad works, and we will not say otherwise.
A polybag seal has one job: to stay closed through folding, stacking, a carton, a journey and a shop's handling. It fails at the ends, not in the middle.
The usual cause is a seal made across a bag that was not flat. A crease at the end of the seal line leaves a channel, and a channel lets dust and damp in. In a finished garment that is a soiled-goods rejection at inspection, not at your gate.
An impulse sealer heats only while the bar is closed, which suits intermittent work and a bench where the operator is also folding. It is the ordinary machine of this trade for a reason.
Choose it by the widest bag you actually run, then add a little. A sealer that is narrow for the bag guarantees a two-pass seal, and a two-pass seal has a weak point in the middle by definition.
When people are paid by the piece, any machine that slows them down gets worked around. That is not indiscipline; it is arithmetic.
So the questions worth asking are practical ones. How long does the bar take to be ready again? Can the operator load the next bag while it cools? Is there anything the operator has to hold or wait for?
An element that needs frequent replacement is the real cost here, not the purchase price. Ask what the element and the PTFE tape cost and how quickly they can be changed, because on a busy bench they are changed often.
Keep spares on the shelf. A sealer waiting for an element is a bench of people waiting with it.
A great deal of this work happens on an upper floor reached by a narrow stair, and that is a fact about what can be delivered as much as about how it is worked.
Tell us the access with the enquiry — stair width, turns, and whether a lift exists. A bench machine is not a problem; anything larger has to be carried by people, and that is worth knowing before it arrives on a lorry.
On the working floor, the constraint is bench length. A sealer, a folding space and a carton cannot all occupy the same metre, and the usual result is the sealer being moved to wherever there is room, which is how leads get damaged.
Give the machine a fixed place and run the cable properly. It sounds trivial and it is the difference between three years of use and one.
Bagged garments go into cartons, and the carton stage in these units is usually the least organised part of the floor.
Two things pay for themselves immediately: a fixed carton size for each customer, and a strap on the outer. The fixed size means stacking is predictable; the strap means the carton keeps its shape in a transport godown.
Where the buyer specifies a shipper size, use it exactly. A carton half an inch over the specification is the one that will not fit their pallet pattern, and the argument arrives after the goods do.
A low table top strapping machine suits this bench because a light carton slides onto it rather than being lifted.
A bench sealer is a small purchase, and it is bought badly more often than any other machine on this site — usually on price, from whoever is nearest, without asking what happens when the element goes.
Ask three questions: the widest bag it will take, the price and availability of the element and PTFE tape, and who repairs it. If any of the three has no clear answer, keep looking.
Prices are ex works from Faridabad with GST and freight separate, and a bench machine travels as ordinary freight. Where you want to see one work first, bring your own bag and film.
The bag was not flat when the bar closed. A crease at the end of the seal line leaves a channel — and it is found at inspection, not at your gate.
The widest bag you actually run, plus a margin. A narrow sealer forces a two-pass seal, which has a weak point in the middle every time.
On a busy bench, often. Ask the element and PTFE tape price before you buy and keep both on the shelf — that cost matters more than the machine's price.
No. Sealing, shrink and vacuum machines are Fulcrum catalogue models, supplied, installed and serviced by Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd. Our own works at Faridabad builds strapping, carton sealing, wrapping and handling machines.
Tell us at the enquiry. A bench machine is no trouble; anything larger has to be carried, and that is better known before it arrives.
Send your carton size, load weight or line speed and we will tell you which machine fits — including the times when the cheaper machine is the right answer. Prices are ex works from our Faridabad works; GST and freight are quoted separately against your delivery address.
