Packing machines for Noida Sector 63

Electronics are not damaged by force so much as by two invisible things: static, and a shock too small to leave a mark. Neither shows on the outside of a carton.

Noida Sector 63 · Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Sector 63 holds electronics assembly and repair, IT and service businesses, instrument and device manufacture, and a large amount of despatch of high-value, low-weight goods.

PackForge Industries is a division of Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd. Sealing machines are Fulcrum catalogue models, supplied and serviced by Fulcrum Infratech; carton sealing and strapping machines are built at our Faridabad works. This page is about protecting things that are worth more than their packing by a wide margin.

Static, and the bag that matters

A board damaged by static often still works, and fails weeks later at a customer. That is the worst kind of failure because nobody connects it to the packing.

Where boards, modules or bare components are handled, the bag matters more than the carton. Anti-static and shielding bags are different things and are not interchangeable, and ordinary polythene is neither.

A sealer closes any of them; it does not make an ordinary bag into a protective one. We say this because a customer who buys a sealing machine and keeps using the wrong bag has bought nothing.

Seal, do not staple. A staple through a protective bag defeats it and is more common than anyone admits.

Cushioning, and the drop that does the damage

The damaging event is usually a short drop onto a hard floor — a parcel sliding off a trolley, not a lorry accident.

Cushioning works by giving the product distance to stop in. A tight-packed carton with no space is not protection; it transmits the shock straight through.

Suspend or centre the product with space around it, and make sure it cannot migrate into a corner during handling. A product that has moved to the corner has no protection on that side at all.

Test by dropping a packed sample, not by looking at it. One deliberate drop onto concrete from bench height tells you more than a month of opinions.

Serial numbers, and packs that must match paperwork

High-value goods are tracked by serial number, and the packing step is where the number and the item stop being connected.

Record the serial as the item is packed, not before and not at the end of the day. The gap between packing and recording is where mismatches are created, and a mismatch on a warranty claim costs far more than the item.

Where a carton holds several units, put the list on the outside as well as inside. A receiving store that has to open a carton to know what is in it will open it, and then the seal means nothing.

Photograph high-value packs before sealing where disputes are common. It costs seconds and settles arguments that otherwise cannot be settled.

Returns, repairs and the pack that travels twice

Service businesses here send goods out and get them back, and the return journey is usually packed by whoever has the item, with whatever is lying around.

Send the return packing with the outward consignment where the item is valuable. A reusable carton with proper cushioning costs less than one damaged return, and the customer will use it because it is there.

Where a unit comes back in a random box with newspaper, the damage argument is unwinnable in both directions, which is a bad position for a service business.

Mark returns clearly as returns. Mixed with new despatches, they cause errors that reach a customer.

Buying small machines for a clean bench

The equipment here is small: a bag sealer, a bench, good cushioning material, and a carton sealer for the outer.

Ask about the sealer's element and PTFE tape cost and keep both on the shelf. On a service bench a dead sealer stops despatch entirely, and it always happens in the evening.

Sealing machines are Fulcrum catalogue models — supplied, installed and serviced by Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd. The carton sealing and strapping machines are built at our own works. The quotation will say which is which.

Questions from buyers in Noida Sector 63

Will an ordinary poly bag do for boards?

No. Anti-static and shielding bags are different from each other and both are different from ordinary polythene. A sealer closes any of them; it does not upgrade one.

Our products arrive damaged with the carton intact.

A short drop transmitted through tight packing. Cushioning works by giving the product distance to stop in — a carton packed solid has none.

How do we test our pack?

Drop a packed sample onto concrete from bench height, deliberately, once. It tells you more than any amount of discussion.

Serial numbers keep mismatching the paperwork.

Record the serial at the moment of packing. Every mismatch is created in the gap between packing and recording.

Do you make the bag sealing machines?

No — those are Fulcrum catalogue models, supplied, installed and serviced by Fulcrum Infratech Pvt. Ltd. Carton sealing and strapping machines are built at our Faridabad works.

Should we pack in the same room where boards are handled?

Keep them apart if the floor allows it. Carton dust is abrasive and it settles on everything, and a bench that does both jobs ends up doing the second one badly.
